National Youth Day- Swami Vivekananda's Birthday celebrations

National Youth Day 
149th Birthday of Swami Vivekananda 

The preparation for this Celebration Started last month with a serious of Yuva Prerna Shivirs, in Colleges from these Shivir's 500 College students Participated in competition on life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda and finely from them 100 were selected for Final One Day (8am to 8pm) programme on Jan 12th. The Birthday of Swami Vivekananda and National Youth Day

 On January 12,  Programme started with Procession and Garlanding of Swamiji's Statue, this solemn occasion set the tone for the day, students were enthused with Swamiji's fervor. After Procession and Breakfast. the camp started with lighting the traditional lamp  by Shri Madhusudan ji Rtd. GM of SBH, Camp theme was introduced by Shri Ravi Sharma, then the participants were clubbed  in 8 different groups. these groups were named after the national leaders.

All these groups were provided with  group coordinators, who guided the groups and helped them in discussion and presentations. Discussions on subjects like.. Who is real youth, Self confidence key to success, How to overcome suicidal tendencies, Strength of Brahmacharya,, and What is vedanta...etc. were very lively. After lunch  group leaders presented the summery of the each group, Shri Subbaraoji summed up the discussion and presentation, on the behalf of Judges. 

It was followed by power point presentation about  Rock Memorial  & Vivekananda Kendra and How to work selflessly. 

Then students participated in outdoor games,  which was followed by Public function. Where Shri Ravi  Principal, Shri Venkateswara Collere of Commerce spoke on Swami Vivekananda, and gave away the prizes to the winners,  Programme was presided by Smt Kalavati (Mata ji) a senior Kendra worker. Entire day was interpressed with number of patriotic songs, lead by Sri Subrahmanyamji and Kakdeji, A dance recital on Sanskrit Strotra was beautiful culmination of the day.
